| Abstract | ||
| Began the relationship between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Islamic Republic of Iran beginning in 1956 of the last century, and continued traditional character based on the personal relationship between the king of Morocco late Hassan II and the Iranian president the late Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, then headed toward tension and estrangement after the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979, due to the positions of King Hassan II of that revolution, and the solidarity of Morocco with Iraq in its war against Iran, and continued relationship with tension until 1991, which saw the opening of the embassies of both countries and the exchange of visits until the death of King Hassan II, and then relations have witnessed a qualitative improvement in the era of King Mohammed VI In 2009, known as phase relations of estrangement because of Iran's stance towards Morocco and the Gulf states, as well as international pressure, which prompted Morocco to sever diplomatic ties with Iran. | ||
