| Abstract | ||
| Figuration is one of the most important styles of enlarging significanceas the speech goes towards new significances rather than the familiar ones, that is to say the term goes from its lexical significance(the central significance) to new significance( the secondary significance) so it gives the familiar meaning new significances. Figuration is a word, by which, the speaker meant another meaning foran evidencebetween the first and the second. Theevidenceis a prohibitiveindicationof the positive significance. The relations is the affinitybetween the real meaning and the figurative meaning. Figuration includes two parts :- the linguistic figuration; its topic is the singular term, and the mental figuration; its topic is the structure. In the first part, the singular term is used for another meaning, and the second is used within the predicationwhich means to attribute the verb to rather than what is original due to a kind of interpretation. The Arab linguistsobserved that the terms tend to a certain collocation; the term does not collocate with all the linguistic terms, rather it collocates with certainterms that theysuitit in the linguistic use and that is what is called ( the real use of terms). Been out of collocation with other terms by predication or other is either as figuration or interpretation, as if the term puts conditions for the following term. So the y had followed this methodology in their studies by studying and deducing the use of these terms. The resulting deductions and observations indicates that the term has two lists of different terms that collocate with it. The first represent the real use of the terms ( the usual ) and the second represents the figurative use(technical). So collocation is the first foundation of judging terms as a part of reality or figuration. Figuration is a type of the unusual collocation , as some of the renewal researchers called, we might call it ( the creative or artistic collocation). Some of the renewal researchers adopts this method to deny figuration. They were wrong; by adopting this method there will be no need to interpretation, yet figuration could not be expendable as it is a type of the unusual collocation or what can we could the technical collocation which represents the highest level of the creative language. | ||
