Result of this study showed that the combined effects of vacuum with temperatures 40,45or50 C at 45-65% R.H on the mortality of Trogoderma granarium (Everts) were greater than the effects of these temperatures alone.
Eggs of this insect were more sensitive to such treatments than other stages, while the pupae stage were more resistance. LT100 values of eggs, larvae (late, mediate and advanced instars), Pupae, and male and female of adult at 40c with vacuum were 12.0,25.0,32.0 and 38.0,35.0,22.0and38.0 minutes respectively and at 45c with vacuum were 7.0,8.0,9.3 and 12.0,10.0,8.1 and 10.0 minutes respeectively and at 50c with vacuum were 3.0,2.3,3.4, and 6.0,4.5,3.4,and 5.0 minutes respectively . The mortality in different stages of temperatures alone were lower than combined of vacuum with different temperatures treatment. |
