| Abstract Basketball became a beautiful sport filled with suspense compared to all other team sports. Performance is better when team work is coordinated. The problem of the research was the lack of coordination exercises during practical lessons a matter that negatively affects their performance specially offensive skills. The aim of the research is improving special coordination in fourth year female college students of physical education. In addition to that, the researcher aimed at identifying the effect of improving performance development of some offensive basketball skills. The researcher hypothesized statistical differences in pretests and posttests in special coordination in the subjects understudy. The researcher also hypothesized differences between pre and posttests in some offensive basketball skills. The research was conducted on (34) female forth year college students of physical education college for women. Special coordination tests as well as offensive skills tests were conducted. The research started from 30/11/2014 – 7/1/2015. Proper statistical methods were used to treat the results. The researcher concluded that the proposed exercises led to the development of special coordination. This development led to the development of basketball offensive skills and finally there are significant statistical differences between pre and posttests in all variables. The researcher recommended using coordination exercises to improve coordination due to its effect in developing compound offensive skills in female basketball. Finally she recommended the necessity of paying attention to special coordination as a vital motor component of basketball. | ||
