| Abstract | ||
| This research aims to determine the vegetation in the north-western region, the proportion of Iraq using remote sensing and GIS techniques. Applied techniques using satellite data for artificial satellite Landsat-7, has been deducted from the study area to determine the visualizations vegetative cover ratio using natural vegetation guide (NDVI). The current study relied on two scenes aliens satellite Landsat 7 ETM + on 06.01.2001 and on 07.05.2005. Use vegetation guide practical tool for monitoring agricultural land in the province of Nineveh, and the results were obtained for the percentage distribution of vegetation period in 2001 is 0.8% cover shoot thick and 2.7% vegetative moderate cover either the period 2005 are 4.3% cover shoot thick and 28.2% moderate vegetative cover. That there is a significant difference in the proportions of varieties between the image and the other has been observed. While fixed water bodies in proportion remained scenes. | ||
