Abstract
Touristic investment is considered the cornerstone of the overall touristic activities and events, and the correct starting point in the development of tourism which starts through touristic investment ,we can convert the touristic potentialities into important active economic resources that achieve not only the physical aims but also satisfy the tourists and make people happy along with meeting the political, cultural and media objectives. Touristic investment is particularly important in the city of Basrah which lacks sources of funding for most of its economic sectors Basrah has distinguished capabilities that, if invested correctly, systematically and scientifically, will make very significant progress. Basrah is very qualified for developing entertainment, religious, historical and archeological types of tourism. Basrah also has diversified nature and environment. This fact helps to construct and develop different touristic activities. In this research, we draw attention to the importance of this vital sector, to developing it and finding sources of funding for investments and planning in this sector and organizing basrah as an important social, economic and touristic site that sustains, develops and extends services and increases activities in the national economy. This can be done only through touristic investment.
