| Abstract | ||
| Carbon black plays an important role in improving the properties, especially mechanical and physical properties of unsaturated polyester composite. In this work the effects of carbon black with different weight percentage (5,7.5,10%wt) was investigated. Sample with and without carbon black exposed for many tests to determine the effect of carbon black contents on some properties of un saturated polyester such as tensile strength, hardness, impact strength, flexural strength, and density. The results show that the tensile strength values increase at weight 10% carbon black.Also,it was noted that the hardness increased by 7% at the same percentage of carbon black. Impact resistance and flexural strength improved by 22% and 20% respectively as compared with samples without carbon black .the results also show that the density values increase with increasing carbon black percentage for all samples. It is found that, carbon black acts as particulate reinforcement materials results in improvement the mechanical properties of unsaturated polyester. | ||
