Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explore the role that the International Criminal Court) ICC) might play in combating terrorism in terms of international law enforcement . I argue in this paper that the ICC’s subject matter jurisdiction should be extended to encompass crimes of terrorism. I propose amendments to the ICC Statute with an express provision condemning and penalizing crimes of terrorism as it is the most dangerous wide spread international crime threatening the international peace and security through violating the rules of humanitarian International law and creation of violence .
