| Abstract | ||
| The present study was conducted on 40 men at specialst center for Endocrine and Diabetic diseases in Al- kindey hospital Baghdad province.The subjects were divided into two groups first group (overt hypothyroidism) included 20 patients and second group control included 20 men .Their ages ranged 20-60 years.TSH level(45.07±3.63(mu/l increased significantly p≤0.05 in overt hypothyroidism group compared with control group (2.62± 0.29);T4 significantly decreased p≤0.05 (51.65±3.48)nmol/l in overt hypothyroidism group compared with control group (2.62± 0.29).T3 values were not significant in overt hypothyroidism and control groups respectively ( 1.48± 0.13) ;(1.62±0.12) nmol/ .The level of calcium decreased significantly p≤0.05 in overt hypothyroid group (7.90 ± 0.09) compared with control (9.17 ± 0.09)(gm/dl) .Testosterone value( 1.31±0.09) ng/ml decreased significantly p≤0.05 in overt hypothyroidism group compared with control( 5.55±0.39).We concluded from this study that the overt hypothyroidism had affected on the level of testosterone and level of calcium in blood. | ||
