Abstract The Banking system in Iraq is today facing difficulties and challenges of the current and future phases, the fact that the banking and financial industry is continuing to evolve in terms of the institutional framework in terms of the creation of new financial institutions, or financial services heading towards totalitarianism, or merger to create huge banking units, or develop a new banking standards to work Banking on an ongoing basis, all in the global climate is accelerating and intertwine the economic developments (development and accelerating technological progress, and the revolution banking Renewable Finance, and change scientific standards on the control and convenience Finance). In light of the political and economic changes that have gripped Iraq after 2003, the monetary authority has taken a number of measures developed and steps to strengthen and develop the work of the banking sector in Iraq and upgrading infrastructure to him, because it is important in the financing of economic activity, which has been overshadowed by the financial and monetary indicators of the banking system in Iraq.
