Abstract
An experiment was conducted in a plastic house with a dimension (50×8×3)m at Horticulture and Forestry Division/ Plant Production Department / Directorate of Agriculture in province of Al-Najaf from the period of 15/11/2013 until l1/6/2014 to study the effect of some agricultural treatments on growth and yield parameters of Strawberry plant var. Roby Gem. Complete Randomized Design (C.R.D.) was adopted in three replicates , to study the effect of some agricultural treatments : Granular fertilizer , Spent Mushroom compost, Peat moss , Mixed fertilizer in addition to control. Means were compared by Least Significant Differences (L.S.D.) at probability level of 0.05. Results showed that there were significant effects of Granular fertilizer in number of stools , total leaf area , total chlorophyll content in leaf , total soluble solid (%) , total acidity (%), dry weight of shoot and root ,yield per plant ,yield per experimental unit and total yield of plastic house: 13.67 stool.plant-1, 159.00 cm2.plant-1 , 19.33mg.g-1 , 10.33% , 0.77 % , 46.33 g.plant-1, 18.67 g.plant-1,244.38g.plant-1,9.78kg and 117.30 kg respectively, compared to the control which gave the lowest values: 6.00 stool.plant-1, 115.33 cm2.plant -1, 16.33 mg.g-1 , 7.00 % , 0.40 % , 29.33 g.plant-1, 13.67 g.plant-1 , 68.13g.plant-1 , 2.73kg and 32.70kg respectively.
