| Abstract | ||
| Housing is one of the basic prerequisites of man’s living. Indeed it is as an important priority as food and clothes. Man has always paid much attention to catering for this priority. The economic, social, and technological sophistication of communities led to agreat diversification in the pattern of housing unites and its functions: Besides, it led to a big gap between the avialable residental units and the actual need for housing as a consequence of the ever increasing population. The present paper is an attempt at a geographical analysis of the residental function in kirkuk city which has recently witnessed a rapid development resulting into various residential problems. The study is an attempt to diagnose such problems and evolve plausible solutions and suggestions for solving them. | ||
