Abstract
ABSTRACT The present study aims to fathom the methods of learning and teaching skills used by the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his Posterity), analyzes them according to the pedagogical and educational contemporary trends and broaches seven hypotheses for verification: 1. Conforming some methods used by the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his Posterity) with modern scientific theories explain learning. 2. Conforming the ways of concept acquisition used by the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his Posterity) with modern methods of concept acquiring. 3. Conforming the educational skills found in the biography of the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his Posterity) with modern skills in education. The study delimits itself to the texts of the Glorious Qur'an and the pure prophet traditions about the most important theories and modern ideas in learning and teaching. The researchers take a descriptive analytical analysis of the texts and find ways of learning and teaching, the study finds that the methods used by the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his Posterity) as if it is in the Glorious Qur'an and the pure prophet traditions are consistent with theories of learning (theory of classical and theoretical requirement of trial and error and procedural requirement theory and the theory of modeling theory and foresight – learning by observation) , that is, there appears contemporary in the use of learning methods of the Prophet (Peace be upon him and his Posterity), the study finds that the methods of concept acquisition of the prophet runs in conformity with the contemporary teaching trends and the teaching skills of the messenger does with the modern teaching trends; the study terminates with certain recommendations and suggestions.
