| Abstract | ||
| The current research study aims to identify the preferable teaching methods to teach educational and psychological subjects from evening classes college students' point of view. To investigate this, the researcher put forward four descriptive and deductive questions:The research sample was 180 female and male students from evening studies/ University of Zakho for the academic year 2014-2015. These samples were chosen from different disciplines (Humanities and Scientific schools). The descriptive analytical approach was adapted to analyze the phenomenon as it is. The researcher also designed a special questionnaire made up of three different teaching methods. After the research tested the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, it was given to the participants to fill it in. The data was then collected and analyzed using the appropriate analytical methods (Kay testing square X2) and (SPSS) statistical method. Results showed the following: 1. Unavailability of statistical difference at (0.05) among the views of the participants with regards to their preferable teaching methods. 2. Availability of statistical difference at (0.05) between the two views of the Humanities students' points of view and Science students' points of view regarding their preferable teaching methods. 3. Unavailability of the statistical difference at (0.05) between the views of the first year students and second year students/Evening classes with regards to their preferable teaching methods. According to the results of the current study, the researcher came up with some conclusions such as: college students/ evening studies preferred the second teaching method which was based on participation and student centeredness especially Humanities departments. He also put forward some recommendations and encouraged a conduction of a similar study to see the similarities and differences of the results | ||
