Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the impact of strategic capacities in all their dimensions (technical knowledge to create the value,the ability to generate and owner resources and the technology used ) to achieve competitive edge in the private banks of (Bank of Mosul for Development and Investment ,Bank of Mosul / Middle East ,Bank of Jian). The Managers and heads of units have been the study samples. The sample size was (45) members. The study also had two main hypotheses as followis: and there is correlation and impact between strategic capabilities and competitive edge .To test these hypotheses ,data was collected based on a form of questionnaire as a major tool for data collection . These data have been analyzed according to statistical system using the program (SPSS) to calculate the averages the standard deviation ,the link and impact access to the results of the study. The conclusions confimed the validity of hypotheses of the study and in the light of the findings, a number of recommendation introduced which urged the banks to the need of environmental monitoring changes to ensure the development of technical capabilities and to cope with the requirements of the information and technological revolution in order to keep and achieve the competitive success .
