| Abstract | ||
| In this research, the researcher thought that it was important to conduct further investigation on the event of (400 m) running, because of the elements in this event that are possessed by runners associated with the characteristics of strength and its forms, and speed and its forms, and due to the development of these characteristics reached by the runners by dividing their distance because all the distance means the most importance that contribute to the completion. The research problem lies in examing the completion of every (200 m) alone to know which accomplishments of these two distances had the most significant relationship in completing the (400) m hurdle running among the young runners in Baghdad, which may bring ready training information to coaches to know the level at which they were trained and through which the aspects of positive and negative physical for runners were known in this event. The research aimed to determine the level of completion of (400) m hurdle running among young runners for the season (2014/2015); to determine the level of completion of first (200 m) running and to the completion of the second (400) m running among young runners for the season (2014/2015); and to know the relationship between the level of achievement of the first (200) m running and to the completion of the second (400) m running among young runners for the season (2014/2015). The researcher used the descriptive correlational approach. The research sample was of (6) young runners, who were tested in Al-Shab stadium. The researcher concluded that the runners had the characteristics of speed and strength for the first 200 meters, the best level of the second (200) m of the event, and the weakness of the characteristics of speed and strength possessed by the runners. The researcher recommended to increase the speed and strength training in the event of (400) m hurdle through analyzing the training curriculum and adjusting the capacity ratios with high accuracy, and through conducting studies to analyze the step length and frequencies and time elapsed to diagnose other points of weakness or strength. | ||
