Abstract
Targeted research to limited the level of knowledge the Fish breeders for some aspects of successful management in fish breeding in floating cages ,and in each axis of the following themes (farmed fish, nutrition, health care), and determine the problems afflicting the fish breeders in the management of fish breeding in floating cages. To achieve the objectives of research was prepared a questionnaire composed of two parts: the first part included a test to measure the level of knowledge the Fish breeders for some aspects of successful management in fish breeding in floating cages , which included 34 items distributed on three axes, was given the degree of one for correct answer and zero for the wrong answer, and so ranged The total degree of test (0-34) degree, while the second part included measuring the problems afflicting the fish breeders in the management of fish breeding inside floating cages, Included (14) problem may encounter of fish breeders in the province of Dhi Qar, use the Tri scale for the purpose of identifying degree importance of these problems. The research covered all the fish breeders in floating cages licensees and non licensees who are in all the province of Dhi Qar and totaling 72 breeders, was selected a simple random sample rate of 75% of all breeders reality 54 breeder. The research found that the general nature to the level of knowledge for Fish Breeders in some aspects of successful management in the field of fish breeding in cages described as average, which tends to decline by (46.30%) and the rate of knowledge of (25.48) degree, as the search results showed that the level of knowledge breeders Fish was average tended to fall in axis of farmed fish, by (66.67) degree, and the rate of knowledge (10) degrees, while the knowledge level in each of the axes (fish feeding, health care) average tends to rise, by (42.59, 55.56) and the degree of knowledge of the rate of (8.57, 6.57) degrees respectively, and the results showed the suffering of fish breeders from several problems, the most important of higher feed prices, as it was ranked first in terms of importance registered the highest weighted rate and worth (2.93) degree. the researcher recommended in collaboration between the various stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of services and Advisory to breeders in the field of successful management of fish breeding in cages, represented by radio and television media, seminars, guidance publications, training courses, and illustrative fields, As well as increased government support to encourage Breeders to develop their projects, such as providing soft loans without interest, and encourage Fish breeders on the formation of associations or organizations of their own involving the transfer of the problems afflicting Breeders to be submitted to the relevant research bodies and to find appropriate solutions, and claim their rights to act as a bridge between them and the relevant government departments in the province, such as the Department of Agriculture and Extension Center, and others. And solve the most important problems experienced by Breeders Such as higher feed costs and the Fish, suggest to the ministry of agriculture to establish a coefficient of feed in the province to provide formulated feeds at a subsidized price for breeders to reduce production costs, as well as the establishment of one or more of fish hatchery, especially that the province enjoys the presence of a large water areas, and the vast lands unsuitable for agriculture.
