Abstract
University Libraries had been and still was the First information institutions had the task of keeping pace with the developments of the education sector in tune with them especially with regard to the provision and delivery of information to an audience of learners, whatever the pattern of education the attitude, it has become imperative to keep abreast of these developments and the creation of facilities information to respond to each of these educational changes. Constitute digital repositories open a new positive trend in the field of scientific communication, it is one of the main mechanisms adopted by the Algerian university libraries to embody the quest to achieve the freedom of researchers, access to sources of information away for free for any temporal or spatial or financial constraints. Based of the above, this paper to wonder about "the role of digital repositories for university libraries Algerian in scientific research service and what are the ways and mechanisms that depend on them to do it? And what the extent of the impact and effectiveness of these warehouses to improve the level of scientific research in Algeria come from?
