| Abstract | ||
| This modest research poses a practical model to examine the possible readings of the Quranic text. This can be carried out by the analysis of the words in the sacred text and their grammatical structures according to the data of language as well as the context of the speech itself, whether it is the internal context of verbal evidence or other grammatical structures such as predication of increasing, deletion, preceding, etc. This analysis of the text shows also other linguistic features such as definiteness and articles and other related linguistic features. Regarding the external context, it includes the circumstances of the theme which the text is dealing with. This study introduces an analysis of a small section of the Quranic text from the verse of Surah (The Ants). This Surah includes a discourse addressed to her at the time of the prophet Sulaiman’s presence while she was advising her people or ordering them to careful of falling as victims under the feet of Sulaiman's Army, peace be upon him, in which Sulaiman's army was a very great one. The analysis was based on the linguistic data available in the text without details in hypotheses and theories that have been adopted by the researcher. This has provided us with metaphorical expressions the Quranic text which was produced by that simple creature called (ant). According to the research, these words have totally included three images : the first image represents the image of the ant as a leader that impose her authority on the audiences, they are all people obedient to her in everything she says or orders; she is the Queen that rules over the kingdom of ants, both males and females. The second image represents the ant as a wise ant who speaks the wisdom in the difficult situations in which the wisdom is rare and the opinion is weak. This can be deduced from the tone of her discourse, her farsightedness and her capacity to give information as well as the great knowledge in the course of events encompass which may lead to expected events. Regarding the third image, it represents the image of the female ant, which is not subject in her kingdom to the authority of male as the nature of life in their houses are under power of female, while the role of the male is only to serve and protect the kingdom. On the other hand, we find this female as queen that is obedient and praising the human male ruler who has the control to the kingdoms of other creatures by the feet of his soldiers who do not pay attention to these creatures. | ||
