| Abstract | ||
| The target of the research is toanalyze the impact of money supply and velocity of money (as explanatory variables) on the inflation rates (as the dependent variable) in Iraq during the period (1991-2013), by estimatingeconometric model to determine the relationship between the variables, usingmodern statistical methods which deal with time-series Stability tests (unit root: Augmented Dickey Fuller) & joint integration analysesand Johansen test . The results showed that the two variables (inflation rate and velocity of money) are not stable in levels, but stable in the first Differences, either variable (money supply) become stable in the second Differences .The integration tests indicated the presence of long-term complementary relationship between the variables, thatChanges in the rates of inflation linked to a positive relationship with the changes in the money supply and velocity of money. | ||
