| Abstract: The research aims to identify the position of university professors from the role of social networking sites in the dissemination of the phenomenon of terrorism, especially that these sites play an important role in the lives of people and communities at the moment, because it is one of the effective tools and influential construction and balance and unite and develop in different directions, that the phenomenon of mail terrorism is one of the shapes and forms of terrorism and extremism, which are of interest because of their serious effects on the security and stability of States and destabilizing societies by broadcasting fear and terror in the hearts of the citizens, as the goal of research is to identify the most important social networking sites used by terrorist gangs and the extent of its reliance on those sites broadcasting their ideas, and this research is descriptive in terms of type, as the researcher used survey method and questionnaire, where the monitoring role of social networking sites in the dissemination of the phenomenon of terrorism and extremism, the simple was chosen according to multiple random sample stages method (cluster) and style selection deliberate, reaching a sample search field size (100) Single of Iraqi university professors, and research found a range of results from the most important: 1- The majority of university professors do not do follow-up broadcasts of terrorist groups across social networking sites. 2- Confirmation by university professors that terrorist groups rely heavily on social networking sites to broadcast the extremist and poisonous ideas | ||
