Abstract
Summary: Undoubtedly, nobody can deny that the meaning of a word in a sentence is involved a close relationship with both the context (syntagmatic relations) and with the morphological, functional and semantic classes to which it belongs. That is why we are currently defining the use of words in speech not from their meaning in language, such as dictionaries can explain it, but compared to that provided by the context in which concepts and objects are responsible for different values; this will clearly underline the specificity of the functioning of certain literal values in the theatrical discourse of Giraudoux. He is attached to an original theatrical discourse, he wrote his plays for a particular language used to better expose his ideas, for example the main purpose of writing the Trojan war will not take place, is to destroy the war's legend, stripped of any sense of glory and heroism that accompanies it, denouncing the lies that justify it. The condemnation came implicitly through language enriched by the metaphorical representation, the disgust of Giraudoux for the war, was expressed in the play through his character Hector : "War is the most sordid and hypocritical recipe to equaliz humans." *
