| Abstract: Search aims to determine the impact of imagination strategy in historical understanding and the development tendency when the fifth graders. To achieve the goal of research and hypotheses the researcher adopted design Almtkavitin groups with partial control of the pretest and posttest type, sample research (60) disciple of the fifth primary grade who are studying material Islamic Arab history in general directorates for breeding Baghdad's Rusafa / 2, at the School of the martyr Juma Sudanese located in the municipal area randomly Statistics, were selected two divisions of fifth grade, one representing the experimental group and the other control group, and by 30 pupils in each group, after he held a researcher parity operations in academic achievement for fathers and mothers and chronological age of the students groups and a test me to understand.
