Abstract
Dates considered of the most important kinds of fruit because of its nutritional value and medical benefit, for this reason the Heavenly books has shown interest for palm tree in many citizens because tree its economic and nutritional value, and it can open up broad prospects through the development and culture of more date palm trees to benefit from them, especially in the desert communities. Those importance was not limited to the nutritional value and medical of this fruits, but in addition to their importance as possible to take advantage of all its parts, especially in the manufacturing industries and the establishment of many small agro-industries, Agricultural statistic indicate that global production of dates around (7.5) Million tons, where the Arab world contributes to the (70.5%) of it. The production of dates in 2013 amounted to about (6145.95) thousand tons, Iraq rank has been decreased to the fifth worldwide as a major producer of dates after it was topping for many years, where Iraq's production reached in 2013 to (676.1) thousand tons. Therefore, this research deals the study of time trends of the development of each number of palm trees planted, and the average productivity of date Palm, the production of dates, the average productivity Palm, the production date on the level of Iraq and the main provincial level in date production during the period 2000-2013.
