| Abstract | ||
| In the present work, we have measured the specific activites, radiation, hazard indices of natural radionuclides for ceramic samples for ten available origins, by using high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector. The results obtained have shown that, the highest value of specific activity of U-238 which was equal to (26.750 Bq/kg) from ceramic sample Iranian origin, while the lowest value of specific activity of U-238 which was equal to (11.360 Bq/kg) from ceramic sample Egyptian origin, while the highest value of specific activity of Th-232 which was equal to (29.850 Bq/kg) from ceramic sample Iranian origin while the lowest value of specific activity of Th-232 which was equal to (17.640 Bq/kg) from ceramic sample Egyptian origin, while the highest value of specific activity of K-40 which was equal to (281.520 Bq/kg) from ceramic sample Iranian origin, while the lowest value of specific activity of K-40 which was equal to (103.930 Bq/kg) from ceramic sample Egyptian origin, all ceramic samples are below the allowed limit as well as all ceramic samples are safe for consumption and does not constitute a danger to the health citizens.
