| Abstract | ||
| The aim of this study is to examine Arabic language skills in the Holly Qur'an: reading, writing, listening, speaking. In addition, the study investigates the words and the expressions that are related to these skills and to the notions of knowledge, thought and conscience. The study also attempts to find the relationship between language skills and thought and conscience. The results of the study as follows: concerning language skills, the results reveal that speaking skill is ranked first with a frequency of 2509, while writing skill is ranked second with a frequency of 265. Moreover, listening skill gets the third rank with a frequency of 140, and reading skill gets the fourth rank with a frequency of 117. The results also show that productive skills (speaking and writing) are more frequent than perceptive skills (listening and reading). Regarding thought and conscience, knowledge and thought are ranked first with a frequency of 715, whereas conscience is ranked second with a frequency of 126. | ||
