| Abstract | ||
| TheStructuraland electronic transition ofzincoxide films andCadmium dopedZnOprepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique on the glass substrates heated at (400C) by adifferent ratios (2,4,6,8)% and the thickness was in the range of (360 ± 10)nm. The results of (XRD) showed that all the films were polycrystalline and have a hexangonalwurtzite structure with a preferred orientation along (002) plane, and doping of Cadmium change the orientation along (101). Doping with Cadmium was led to change the preferred to (101) planwith theincrease the doping percentage. while the average crystallite size was decreased from (22nm) to (17nm) by increasing the doping percentage, also the (AFM) images showed that thesurface roughness of the films decreased with increasing (Cd) concentrationfrom(1.37nm) for the undoped to (0.57nm) .while the root mean square(RMS) decreasewiththe increase of dopingpercentage. Theoptical parameters include theabsorption coefficient, forbiddenenergy gap ofdirect allowed transition(3.20eV)while the increase indoping decrease energy gap to(3.10eV)for doping(8%). | ||
