Abstract
The study aimed to identify which chores and jobs that lead to cause cervical pain as well as identifying the method of work and the devices used and their relationship with the pain. In addition , identifying the most aged group people in which the pain appears and the relationship of mass and height of the body with pain . Furthermore, the study aimed to identify the types of treatments used by the research sample and its effectiveness for the pain . The research sample included (75) women aged between (27-54) years. The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool for data collection including 39 questions ,distributed on (6) axes for accessing the study objectives .After collecting data out of study sample and processed statistically , the study concluded that most of the sample individuals ,whose age (41-50) years, suffer from suffer chronic cervical pain . In addition , the results showed that housewives are the most ratio of other sample individual who suffer from the pain . Thus, the results proved that house-keeping chores are the main caused for cervical pain among the study sample . Moreover, the effectiveness of the other occupational tasks in causing pain . Whereas , the results didn’t prove that the mass and height of the body has a relationship with causing the pain among the study sample. The summary of recommendations are that most of chores ,especially house-keeping ones, which require bending head forward and down for a long time commensurate with the type of the work performed has an effective role in causing pain as well as diligence of most of the study sample individual in taking medicines and excessive intake of painkillers and muscle and nervous relaxants in dealing with the pain . Few of women were taking medicines according to the doctor's advice. Furthermore, few of them used the physiological treatment or treatment exercises in dealing with the pain. The study recommended to prepare a booklet of guiding ,using pictures to show the correct and wrong positions to do the house and occupational chores . This booklet must be distributed in cooperation with the health centers , natural therapy and specialist doctors. In addition ,making women aware of the importance of the special physical exercised for the cure and prevention of cervical pain as well as clarifying the danger of addicting to pain relievers without treating the cause through media guidance .
