| Abstract | ||
| Thermal conductivity coefficient, and ablation rate for polyvinylchloride – polyamide 6, 6 blend reinforced with multi wall carbon nanotubes have been studied via Lee’s disc and oxy – acetylene flame techniques respectively. Simulation program of heat transfer in three dimensions of thermal properties for pure blend and blend / MWCNTs nanocomposites specimens were carried out using finite difference method (FDM). Hand-Molding coupling with ultrasonication technique was used to prepare the nanocomposites. Thermal conductivity results show, that the values increase progressively by succession of volume fraction of MWCNTs. Ablation rate behaves inversely, where it drops at high volume fraction of MWCNTs. Simulation of thermal conductivity results, which are calculated according to Nielsen model and when we are compared it, with the experimental results, it can be observed, that the experimental results, were located in between the perpendicular direction values and random direction values for MWCNTs, with respect to heat flux direction. | ||
