Abstract
The research aimed to determining awareness level of cattle breeders in certain regions of Nineveh Governorate with common diseases between human and animal, then to determine the relationship between awareness and some breeder's characteristics, and also to identify the veterinary problems facing the breeders, and their suggestions to save them. The research sample consisted of 97 breeders representing 5% of the total populations. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisted of three parts, the first part included some characteristics of the breeders, while the second part included 30 items to measure the breeders awareness and the third part included questions concerning the veterinary problems and suggestions. The results showed that there is a great deficiency in breeders awareness and significant correlation was found between awareness of the breeders and years of experience, and full-time job of the breeders , while no correlation was found with age ,years of education ,size of animal holding ,sources of veterinary information ,also the results indicated some veterinary problems and suggestions.
