Abstract
The transport problem is a special case of linear programming and generally addresses the problems of product transfer and distribution The research aims to build a linear programming model for the problem with multiple phases of transport as the traditional transfer methods fail to solve the transportation problem for more than one stage and then use the analysis beyond the fitness to find the optimal quantities of movable and the lowest possible total cost. The model is then applied to the distribution of petroleum products.
