| Abstract | ||
| With the rapid growth of enterprises activities and individual’s requirements, Cloud computing concept rise as a powerful solution in order to comply with all party’s demands. Due to the benefits offered by cloud in terms of costs reduction, astonishing flexibility and efficiency. Resource allocation issue is one of the core aspects in cloud computing where, it faces many challenges in terms of optimizing resources distribution required by the parties. Never the less, System performance mainly increasing resources allocation through solid CPU scheduling algorithms. Processes scheduling where these resources must be distributed fairly without any delay in order to reduce resource starvation possibilities. Process scheduling mainly relies on several algorithms that aimed significantly to segment resources among these tasks to be performed efficiently. Round Robin is a multitasking algorithm that been designed for time sharing systems. This paper is proposing enhanced approach for cloud resource allocation using CPU scheduling by optimizing round robin algorithm. Processes arrived to be processed will treated in certain methodology to distribute them using Dynamic Threshold Mechanism (DTM) that arrange processes effectively. Processes priorities have been considered precisely to prevent any resource starvation may occur. Dynamic time quantum which is the time given to each processes to execute into CPU calculated dynamically on each iteration. The proposed algorithm is evaluated and compared with other algorithms in which, it has given the best criteria in terms of average waiting time, turnaround time and less context switch. The results obtained shows that, the proposed algorithm has achieved the designed goals in terms of performance into cloud. | ||
