| Abstract This study explains the interaction between the concepts of strategy and tourist investment in order to establish a theoretical and practical framework of the research. The problem can be expressed in terms of the lack the developmental strategy which may raise the opportunity of investing the demonstrations that take place in Karbala every year. Karbala is known as a city of a civilized and cultural heritage which has its reflections on the tourist situation as this city has religious, archeological and natural characteristics that can be invested and developed. The significance of this study lies on the assumption that it may suppose an intellectual foundation for the tourist investment in Karbala. This city has established its own presence along ages and has attracted millions of people as visitors to the religious places or as tourists who come from different countries especially from the Islamic states. Millions of visitors come every year specifically during the religious events for instance on the 20th of Safar in order to revive the martyrdom of Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him). The researchers conclude that there are many supporting factors of profitable investment in Karbala such as building tourist cites which may be of great economical, cultural and social advantages. The conclusions have guided the researchers to introduce some recommendations. First, There must be a serious good planning for the investment of the large number of people. Secondly, the culture of the Husseiniyat heritage should be spread in order to raise the awareness of the community members as well as of those who work for the official administrative institutes that the more positive impression the tourists get the more they visit Karbala. | ||
