| Abstract | ||
| Abstract The Printing craft represents an important part of economic activities because its products cover an essential part of the people's needs with different interests. Furthermore, it attracts the labour force and activates the economical progress towards achieving welfare. Karbala has (57) sections and the place of this craft lies in the following sections and streets (Al-Abbass St., Hamaza Al-Zughayir St., Imam Ali St., Al-Tahaddi St., Al-Hurr St., Al-Suhha St.). The products of printing include typing newspapers, magazines and commercial cards. The results of this research show that there are some problems which have affected this craft. First, there is a competition of the imported products and secondly the lack of the governmental support in terms of supplying the raw martial (paper and ink) which represent (95%) of the total product. Thus, there is a crucial need to provide support and consultancy of good planning in order to achieve the intended goals, to satisfy the local peoples' needs and to activate the economic progress. | ||
