| A field experiment was conducted in the experimental fields of the Field Crops Dept., college of Agriculture , University of Baghdad on (2006-2007) winter season , to study the effect of four levels of phosphorus fertilization as super phosphate (P 20%) (0, 50, 70, 90) kg P.ha-1 and four levels of seed rate (7, 8, 9, 10) kg.h-1 on some characters of vegetative , inflorescence growth , oil yield , and physiological characters of anise plant (PimpinellaanisumL.) , Treatments were arranged according to the randomized complete block design as a factorial experiment with three replicates. The Phosphorus Fertilizer caused significant effects to all characters studied , Level (90 kg P. ha-1) gave highest means for :number of days from sowing to the flowering (99.24) day, number of days from sowing to the maturity (169.46)day, Number of leaves (17.94) leaf.plant-1, Partial content for chlorophyll in the Leaves (34.54) mg. g-1, number of flowersence.plant-1(12.43) flower.plant-1, flower.flowersence-1 (16.33) flower . flowersence-1, percentage of fruit - set (74.63 %), number of seeds.mainflowersence (536.12), weight of 1000 seeds (3.12) g-1, seeds weight. plant -1 (4.03) g-1, yield of oil. ha-1 (15.88) L . ha-1, specific gravity for volatile Oil (0.950), oil density (0.647) mg. micro-1 letter , refractive index (1.568) degree, The Seed Rate Caused significant effect to all characters studied , Level (10 kg . ha-1) gave highest means for ,number of days from sowing to the flowering (107.68) day, number of days from sowing to the maturity (172.78)day, Number of leaves (17.82) leaf.plant-1, Partial content for chlorophyll in the Leaves (42.14) mg. g-1, number of flowersence.plant (12.55) flower.plant-1, flower.flowersence-1 (16.45) flower . flowersence-1 , percentage of fruit - set (71.67 %), number of seeds.mainflowersence (528.25), weight of 1000 seeds (2.87) g-1 , seeds weight. plant -1 (3.45)g-1, yield of oil. ha-1 (11.62) L . ha-1, specific gravity for volatile Oil (0.941), oil density (0.638) mg. micro-1 letter , refractive index (1.551) degree, Interaction between the two factors caused significant effects to all characters studied, as the treatment of (90 kg.ha-1 and seed rate 10kg .ha-1 ) gave highest means for :number of days from sowing to the flowering (96.59) day, number of days from sowing to the maturity (167.86)day,Number of leaves (18.49) leaf.plant-1, Partial content for chlorophyll in the Leaves (45.04) mg. g-1, number of flowersencwe.plant (14.57) flower.plant-1, flower.flowersence-1 (18.65) flower . flowersence-1 , percentage of fruit - set (74.93 %), number of seeds.mainflowersence (539.00), weight of 1000 seeds (3,18) g-1 , seeds weight. plant -1 (4.30) g-1, yield of oil. ha-1 (19.31) L . ha-1, specific gravity for volatile Oil (0.954), oil density (0.649) mg. micro-1 letter , refractive index (1.575) degree |
