| Abstract: This paper dealt with recognition the current flow for the Arabian Gulf in Shatt al-Arab in the phenomena of tides ( ebb and flow) which are natural phenomena happen when the waters of oceans and seas are under the influence of the moon. the flow is a temporal elevation in the water level while the ebb is a gradual decline of the water level. The goal of the study was to highlight as much as possible the tidal effect on water characteristics in the southern part of the Shatt al-Arab. The subject of research is about identifying the tidal phenomenon in the world and in the study area in particular. The research dealt with the main effectsof the tide phenomenon on the properties of Shatt Al - Arab water in the southern part such as fast of the river current, river levels, cross section space, drainage area and dissolved salts. As a paper presented the environmental effects caused by stretch of saline tongue in the southern part of the Shatt al-Arab. It was done through research to reach proof about the correct hypothesis which states there is a direct impact of the tidal phenomena on qualitative characteristics and quantity for the waters of Shatt al-Arab in its southern part. | ||
