| The writer Shalom Darwish is one of the most important Iraqi writers of the twentieth century. He has worked in many literary and artistic spaces, and has had a presence in poetry, story, essay, playwriting and writing theater criticism. These efforts became active in the literary and artistic landscape of Iraq and made a distinctive impact in many of the Iraqi writers who Gailoh or those who came after.
