| Abstract | ||
| Objective:The study aims to determine the effect of Toxoplasma gondiiinfection on the genetic sequence of breast cancer patientsin the Medical City Hospital – Tumor Unit/ Iraq-Baghdad. Methodology: A study was carried out in the City of Medicine / Oncology Unit / Baghdad,during the period 1stJune 2016 to 15thMarch 2017. Forty samples of tissue and serum were collected from patients whocomplaining fromBreast cancer and infected with Toxoplasmosis. Forty sera samples were taken from patients complaining from parasitic infection only; without breast canceras control group. Data is analyzed by using of descriptiveand inferential data analysis methods. Results:The results show that there isan effect forToxoplasma gondiion the genetic sequence of patients complaining breast cancer,with significant differences among cancer patients withToxoplasmosisin comparison with negative toxoplasmosis control group. Recommendations:In view of the results, it is of importance to throw light onthe gene expression using real-time technique to detect the genetic mutation and the change in the protein synthesis of patients withToxoplasmosis. | ||
