| Abstract | ||
| Abstract This study was conducted in the vegetable field, Horticulture Department , College of Agriculture , University of Baghdad (Abu Ghraib) during the growing seasons, 2011 – 2012 to investigate the influences of organic fertilizers on growth and yield of Hot pepper, Ampala hybrid. Two experiments were setup using (RCBD) with 3 replicates , the means were compared using L.S.D at a level of 5% significance. The experiment consist of 10 treatments using the organic fertilizer Disper Humic added to the soil at a rate of 3kg.ha-1 and a foliar sprays of King Life Fruit at a rate of 2g.L-1 for each of them as alone or in combination with half quantity of recommanded chemical fertilizer. The first application of both organic fertilizer was carried out after 20 days from transplanting and the second application after 20 days from the first application , while the first application of the chemical fertilizer was added after 20 days from transplanting and the second application was added after one month from the first application.The experiment results were compared with or without chemical fertilizer. The experimental results showed that T8 (applying king Life Fruit + Disper Humic thrice + 50 % chemical fertilizer) was significantly superior in most vegetative growth parameter , such as leaf area.leaf chlorophyll content , roots dry weight in both seasons and dry weight of vegetative part. In the first season the same treatment (T8) significantly increase the yield specialy fruit weight for both seacons and the number of fruit.plant-1 and total yield in the first season 31.81 ton.ha-1. While in the seacond season the chemical fertilizer treatment (T2) increased the number of fruit.plant-1 and the total yield of 30.46 ton.ha-1 and without significant differences with(T8). | ||
