Abstract
A field experiment was conducted in plastic House at Agriculture college,University of Baghdad, Al-Jadreaa during the season 2014-2015 to study the influence of spraying of some nutrients on the growth and productivity of eggplant plant Barcelona hybrid. Eggplant seed planted at 15/9/2014 and when 4-5 true leaves, these plants transplanted to plastic house (261)m2 (29×9)m، plants sprayed with NPK (T1) (2g.L-1), HAMMAR (T2) (1g.L-1), Huminking (T3) (0.5g.L-1), Alexin (T4) (1 g.L-1), Algatonao (T5) (1ml.L-1), Vegeamino (T6) (1ml.L-1) also control treatment (T0), 7 .Treatments was conducted based on Randomized complete block design with three replicates, means compared with 5% probability. Plants sprayed five times with two weeks intervals between them. T3 increased leaf No., leaf area and dry weight of vegetative growth 83.7 leaf plant-1, 14193 cm2 plant-1 and 97.7 g.plant-1 respectively, as compared with 54.3 leaf plant-1, 3370 cm2 plant-1 and 68.3 g.plant-1 in T0, also T3 increased a,b and total chlorophyll at 209, 85.9 and 294.9 mg 100g-1, as compared with 161, 55.4 and 216.4 mg 100g-1 fresh weight in T0. T3 also increased fruit weight and number at 92.7g fruit-1 and 59 fruit plant-1. We concluded that Humin king at 0.5g.L-1 improved the growth and production of hybrid Barcelona eggplant.
