| Materials on which manuscripts were written Prof.Dr. Najya Abdullah Ibrahim College of Education for women - University of Baghdad Abstract The research deals with a historical study of the materials written by the manuscript since the beginning of its inception in the Arab era in the pre-Islamic era and the origin of Islamic and the following in successive eras.It is a variety of materials ,including Al-Asab,karanif ,parchment ,leather and many other .when the Islamic sates opened the papyrus and Egyption Qabati appeared as a new material for writing In the Abbasid period paper appeared and spread among the Arab during the rign of Caliph Haroon AL-Rashid .With the emergence of the paper industry in the horizons of Arab life ,the Arab Anuscript entered a new stage of its growth and development characterized by the abundance of production and its availability and ease of consumption among readers .Thus,the Arabic ,European and other libraries enriched many manuscripts of various scientific and cultural subjects. | ||
