Abstract
The aim of the research is to uncover the value of the historical dimension of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) and the possibilities that visitors can get when they come to it and its importance (tourist and religious), as well as the diagnosis of the social, economic and urban impacts and their impact on the urban environment of the city. The existence of this holy shrine. The research was based on direct and indirect sources of access to information on the subject. The researcher chose (360) visitors to this place from the governorate and other regions, which constitute the sample of the research.. The most important findings of the research after the lapse on several axes, including clarification of the proportions of the forward and its historical significance. Imam Al-Abbas Ibn al-Kadhim ((peace be upon him)) is Abbas bin Imam Musa al-Kadhim bin Imam Jafar Sadiq bin Imam Mohammed al-Baqir bin Imam Ali Al-Hussein bin Ali bin Abi Talib ((peace be upon him)), and also addressed the natural and human potential that can be developed in order to exploit the region and the shrine Sharif tourism and leisure. It was also found that 46.4% of the total sample came from Shatrah, 41.7% from other governorates, 11.3% from the rest of the governorates, 0.6% from outside Iraq, This is an indication of the historical, religious and tourist dimension of the place (tourism industry). And then the research to clarify the social, economic and architectural effects of the holy shrine on the region in general and the city of Shatrah in particular. In order to determine the future prospects for the area and residents of the city of Nasiriya and Imam Abbas (peace be upon him).
