| The experiment was carried out during 2014-2015 growing season, at Shat-Al-Arab District, Basra Governorate to study the effect of spraying with kally 28 at three concentrations of (0, 2.5 and 5 mg.l-1 ) and potassium nitrate at three concentrations of ( 0 , 0.5 and 1) mM on carrot cv.Nantes growth and yield. Plants sprayed with kally 28 at 5 mg.l-1 and potassium nitrate at 1 mM 1 had significantly higher vegetative growth parameters (plant height ,leaf number.plant-1, and leaves chlorophyll content) and yield parameters( root weight ,root length , root diameter Total solid soluble of fresh roots and plant total yield of roots, as compared to other treatments. Plants sprayed with kally 28 at 5 mg.l-1 and potassium nitrate at 1 mM dual treatment gae the highest yield root weight, total soluble solids of fresh roots, roots content of carotene, root length , root diameter, and total productivity 30.56 g,22.86% ,27.00mg.g-1 , 17.5cm ,23mm ,21 .9 ton.hectar-1, respectively, as compared to control, which had low (18.78g, 14.20%, 11.0600mg.g-1, 11.56cm, 16.80 mm,9.11 ton.hectar-1 respectively. |
