| Abstract | ||
| The research aims at evaluating the efficiency of the investment performance of the insurance companies sector and the importance of these companies for the economy of the country. The research was conducted in the Iraqi insurance company for the period from 2014 to 2016 in order to identify the investment fields and compare between the investment activity and the return realized. The researcher reached a number of conclusions, most notably that the most important investments are investments of fixed deposits followed by the investment of shares and bonds and then real estate investments and then investment real estate loans. The most important recommendations are to review the investment policies of the company and to work on the formulation of investment policies are effective and work to increase the volume of real estate investments because it achieved the highest financial returns and the formulation of investment policies that distribute the amounts invested on the basis of the relative importance of investment returns. | ||
