| Abstract | ||
| The Abbasid Caliphs in the first period were sponsoring the state directly. They were electing the grand clerks like Judges. The required administrative efficiency was observed. Similarly they were supervising their works via issuing the suitable instruction for the Judges. Moreover, the caliphs used to bookkeep the faults that might have been done by them. This fact may be noticed through viewing the criteria followed for their nomination. To what extend the judge is eligible for certain post, this was greatly observed. The Islamic scholars explain that the caliph should nominate the qualified people to assume such post according to certain conditions. These Conditions represented by the fact that the judge should be male. Similarly, be should have the mental ability and full freedom. Then he should be Muslim know for his Justice Moreover, he should be safe and sound as far as his physical senses are concerned. Likewise, the elected Judge should be well – informed in Islamic legislative rulings. Therefore the Caliph would supposedly try hard to nominate the most suitable person for such significant posts. | ||
