Abstract
The researcher seeks to know the impact of the media in shaping the attitudes of the public toward volunteering through a research that contains three topics. The first part includes the methodological framework of the study which covered the problem of the study and its objectives and questions as well as the research used. The second topic dealt with the cognitive framework of the study, from the concept of voluntary work, and the obstacles to voluntary work, and the form was reluctant to volunteer work at the global and regional level, and the role of volunteerism in the public life of the citizen while comprised third section on the field results of the study, where the study found several results can be mentioned a Maha: The study showed their compatibility with the findings of some previous studies and the lack of compatibility with the other. Objectives and areas have varied orientation towards volunteering among students, while the goal of supporting the occupied human development ranked first among the eight volunteer goals, showing that the health sector has attracted the highest percentage of students among the areas of volunteering more. In spite of all this, it has been shown that there are factors ( reasons ) facing the trend towards work, the most important of which is the absence of fixed programs for the care of volunteers and the organization of their volunteer work, compared with a number of obstacles to voluntary work,
