	A comparative study of the “Place” and “Time” in the short Stories at Ahmed Mahmoud and Zakaria Tamer

Abstract
“Place” along with “time” is one of the most important components of artistic construction techniques of stories or fiction. There is no doubt that the aesthetics of place have a special beauty and charm which is a part of the richness and fertility of aunique writer. Just like the elements and concepts, place appears in story works through the perspective of the characters themselves to word the place around them, or by the description of then arrator and his/her direct and indirect point of view. This study at tempts to shed light on the concepts of “space” and “time” as ones of the most important technical elements, especially with the development of the short story in recenter as by both of "Ahmed Mahmoud" and "Zakaria Tamer", as those authors were sometimes interested in these elements and tools more than in the rest of the other technical elements. This research also tries to show the similarities and differences between these two artistic elements of the two writers.
