| Al- Farraa’s book, Ma’ni AL Qura’n is one of great references which dealt with Arabic grammar. It is no less important than Seebewaih’s book as it is the first textbook written in grammar for those who are notable with the Kufi orientation while introducing the grammatical issues. And since the book was not available to the latter grammarians, I found a plenty of quotations attributed to Al- Farraa which were actually not stated by him, or that his statements were misinterpreted and, therefore transformed in an incorrect way. I, for this reason, have traced a grammatical topic in the book A’maal Al Masdar which collected and analyzed Al Farraa’s book with corrections by grammarians, and discovered that he treated the ‘Gerund’ as (Na’ib an Fil Amr) and (Al Haal mahal Inna and Verb), whereas in the second section, he discussed the three kinds of gerund (Al Masdar Al Munnawan, Al Mudhaf and Al Mu’rraf bi al). In this section he did not differentiate among these kinds in terms of their functioning. كتاب معاني القرآن للفراء(ت207هـ) من أمّات الكتب التي تناولت النحو العربي, فهو لا يقل شأنا عن كتاب سيبويه(180هـ), إذ هو أوّل مدونة نحوية لِمن عُرِف بالاتجاه الكوفي في عرض القضايا النحوية, ولأنّه لم يكن متوافرا بين أيدي النحويين المتأخرين فقد وجدت أنّ نقولا غير قليلة نُسبت إلى الفراء, لم يكن هو قائلها, أو أنّ الفهم القاصر لآرائه بسبب عدم فهم عباراته أدى إلى نقل آراء غير دقيقة عنه, وقد تتبعت واحدا من موضوعات النحو في كتابه معاني القرآن وهو (إعمال المصدر), جامعا مادته, ومحللا عبارات الفراء فيه, ومصوبا ما نقله عنه بعض النحويين, فظهر أنّه يُعمل المصدر بقسميه (النائب عن فعل الأمر) و(الحال محلّ أن والفعل), ورصدت في القسم الثاني أنواعه الثلاثة (المصدر المنون والمضاف والمعرّف بأل), ولم يفرق بينها في قوة العمل من عدمها. | ||
