| The text often contains a basic subject for which the text is created and other topics that seek to show the underlying theme This basic theme is defined in modern linguistics as "the Major Structure" which is defined as the estimated structure that explains or analyzes the organization of the text This means that the analysis of the text requires knowledge of the basic subject (the major structure), which is addressed by the text and then notes the pivotal aspects employed to show the basic subject. The researcher chose three sermons from Nahg Al- Balagha, the first was a direct speech to his brother Mohammed Ibn Al-Hanafiya when he gave him the flag on the Day of the Camel, which is sermon 11, the second sermon was for his companions, the night of Al Hareer, which is sermon no. (66), the third sermon was before the Battle of Siffeen. The research entitled (( The Major Structure of the Alawi Text, Selections of War Speeches in Nahj Al Balagha)).
