| Abstract | ||
| This study aims to explain the supporting role of the free access of information in scientific research, dependening on the means and the tools of information technology and communications, namely the internet. This study tries to form a set of mechanisms to investigate hypotheses. These hypotheses take the free access of information (its concepts and applications) as an essential facto, which plays a fundamental role in supporting the scientific research and how it helps to achieve the easy access to information, communication among researchers, exchanging the ideas and providing the satiable scientific environment. In genial, This research tries to answer the following questions: 1. How mach a researcher knows about the concept of free access of information? 2. What practices demonstrated by researchers in dealing with electronic journals? 3. To which extend the researchers concept the model of free access information as a means for publishing their works? 4. What are the obstacles a researchers faces to access the free information? To answer the questions above the descriptive analytical methodology is adopted, a Fifty-five teaching staff members in the University of Mosul asked randomly to full a questioner. In order to analyze the data collected a variety of means and statistical methods, are used. The study came up with a set of conclusions, including: which is free access to information from topics that captured the attention of many writers and researchers after a new method of electronic publishing methods that make fun of modern information and communication technology of computers and networks active and effective means for the storage and exchange of knowledge among beneficiaries, and support scientific research. . | ||
